Does any Simplex user out there, find where their machine doesn't hear/see a cut nail...?!?!
What am I doing wrong???
I have used all but the Beach Mode, to locate a cut nail, that's directly under my coil.
I thought that "All-Metal" Mode would certainly find it - nope...!
I checked the Iron Audio; the headphones volume; the Notch Mode (-nope) all notches available.
Hey, I even re-balanced my machine, to no avail...!!
So, any help is appreciated...!
Thanks!

Have you tried approaching the target from different angles?

My Bad...!
I messed with things the next day, and finally heard the silly nail - VERY embarrassing...!!
Gotta re-read the owner's manual again...!

Minelab xterra, Whites DFX, Notka Makro Simplex. Folks the price don’t mean everything, the question is are you willing to put in the time to learn the machine, experience will pay off I guarantee it.

Heck one day dam machine acts one way next day. Point is I use field or park, depending on the depth and angle of coin in ground you will get a non traditional number so I suggest in doubt dig ok, thankyou

Dialed-in, meaning figuring the machine out?
I'm over 75% there, I feel.
The trashy areas I change game plan, and manually notched-out some stuff -
just to keep up with the sounds and numbers..., and after awhile, I've heard those mid-tones and high to the highest range of tones,
that I've done quite well with just knowing a few VDI numbers for good stuff, then I figure out things easier.
And, I'm digging shallow as possible, to quickly guess, dig and recover what the machine told me it was...!
Still learning....
