Went back to a familiar site on New Years Day and knocked out three goals for 2015. Found my first silver (1929 Mercury Dime -- pictured), five wheat cents, and a ring (albeit a very chintzy ring).

The wheat cents were 1919, 1920, 1927, 1934, and 1935. Some were a bit crusty, but all dates were readable.

Two buddies were detecting with me. Their finds included an even nicer 1928 Mercury and around a dozen more wheat cents. The place has been pounded by at least four other detectorists, but keeps producing excellent finds.

All in all, a very good day for hunting.

Happy New Year, and happy hunting to you all!
