In lieu of hi-jacking someone else's thread, I started a new one, not that I have much to put in it but while watching a show on TV yesterday I believe it was called something along the line of Histories Greatest Mysteries.. They have different topics show to show of course but yesterday it was the Knights Templars, and they were giving different theories and reasons to believe them on where and when the Templars where run off as to where they might have gone and what valuables they took with them. One of the theories was them sailing to Nova Scotia area.. As we all know they were master builders and they always built elaborate fortress and tunnels systems everywhere they were known to be, so digging a hole and tunnel off of it would have been short work for them, if they wanted to hide something on OI... I know it is a tv show but their experts acted as if it was just as possible and as any of the other places they might have gone to hide their valuables.. They whole heartily believe they took their valuables somewhere, and no ones knows for sure where...

No need for a hamster habitat of tricky turns and tunnels. They proved they had banking down to a well documented secured art.

UNTIL they were too wealthy for their own good. Which is odd given that Templar Knights were committed to a life of frugality themselves.

The royals at the end tried to fleece them all they could but the Pope and Phillip the IV that really ended it for the Knights. This in an era where Kings and Popes wielded more than hand waves at subjects.
Another irony of sorts as it was a Pope (Innocent II) who helped get the Templars established far earlier.

Anyways , with King and Pope and all sundry putting the squeeze on the remaining apple of Templar life the remains of wealth and enterprise were directed to the Hospitallers.

How many sets of eyes were involved? The Popes legions. The King's administration and attendant guards and more .The Hospitallers. The general publics.
The dock workers. Ships going in and out of port. That is a lot of eyes.

And how many watched the fragmented remains of the Templars?
Getting a ship out of port with Templars aboard might have been a feat.
Loading one with treasure( what treasure?) would have been another matter.
Then given the Templars business history , why even risk a treasure on water let alone on water without approval?
Let alone Nova Scotia!

Ships were guarded. So too their contents.
Kings didn't last when everyone took a nap all night.
The Templars at the end were up against it. Not powerful and not invisible and certainly not free to wander away with much wealth.

Get an alternative to that known ending of their high watermark and then find how they acquired a ship and crew and treasure. Until then any destination out of port doesn't happen. Let alone any secrecy once on the water.

I don't know what the treasure/valuables were but the show and virtually every story you read about them has them having valuables.. Some say just gold type stuff, others say the Arc of the covenant. Who knows.. I doubt they would have just hopped on a boat in front of everyone as they were fleeing. Plenty of other ways to flee and get on a boat without everyone seeing them.. The stories having them fleeing at night for that reason.. Who knows if they ever came to OI area, but if they did they would have not have told everyone do you think. Surely not. People assigned guard duty at night didn't sleep because it was dark out.
A group (in this case Templars) under scrutiny having members evaporate and a ship leaving didn't mean they skated away unpursued.

Until those issues are resolved by more than what anyone "could have done" it's all nothing more than stories.

The ark risked at sea when the group (Templars) allegedly guarding it are being persecuted?
I'm not convinced the risk of moving it to a ship wouldn't have been great enough to be voted down.
Put it underground right where it is at.

The Knights were fleeced.
No account of those that survived not being reduced to minimalism.
Again how many eyes? Even unaffiliated eyes. How many state a single Knight let alone the group had anything worth looking for after the King and Pope and Royalty had their way with them?
Running a wagon down a street at night is in secret? It wasn't like people had insulated glass on windows along the streets. Or no one had a dog. Or peed in the wee hours.
Let alone the night watch.

I think it is funny how some don't want to believe the Templars or whoever actually came to the OI area because noting has been found written about it happening. Yet don't believe alot of the early stuff that is written about OI, and the MP..

Every scrap of the MP story is unreliable. There are differing versions that have been embellished along the way. The only thing that matters is what has been found in 230 years of digging 100-foot holes: nothing.

There is a preponderance of stories that support the Templars going to Scotland, eventually to Greenland and then Nova Scotia (New Scotland). Nothing on Oak Island supports any Templar activity at that site.

I beleive there was even a thread where the poster claimed that the “money pit” was a space-time warp tunnel the templars used to transport them and their treasure to Mars. (To date, no NASA Mars probe has located the treasure).

The Molly Maguire immigration of Irish coal miners came to America to secure the Templar treasure that was hidden in caves of PA coal region by Jesuit priests traveling with native tribes before it would be found by other miners. Due to some other crazy stuff going on most of the Mollies were hung or imprisoned. The location of the the trashure was now lost until..... Relics were recently discovered. Basing anything on a TV show would be foolish. TV shows like "Histories Greatest Mysteries" are rarely based on fact, just theory and conjecture. Add to that the fact that it's on the same channel as the OI silliness, one must assume the show is a bunch of baloney.

Title of the thread has the word "Theory" in it. Never said it was a fact. If any of you don't like it you don't have to post in it. Pretty simple really. Can't remember the actual location of the carved Templar symbol to OI but it is there. Fact. Who carved it, when and why, who knows..

Guysborough Harbour is a popular guess based on the Henry Sinclair story.
Other sites have been discussed as well.
A lot of lore associated with it.

If they did come to that Guysborough Harbour, that is atleast in the general area considering most on here don't think they ever got on a boat much less traveled across the ocean to Nova Scotia..
