As promised my next crumb pic this will be the last for a few have to give up something to continue mining need fuel $$, so the phone n wi fi and web site go first, this gives me a couple extra days out a month. Millin full time now, but its a slow process with light returns lately.

So one must get out n dig deeper, just need to find a hole that has some depth.
All these miners tossin around that million dollar word has gotten me pumped up for some hardrock diggins.

I just hit the 18 month point on my deployment to the gold fields, have only managed town trip 2 times now, i havent seen a stop light in almost 2 years, going to be a strange feeling to get back into public again, have only ran into a handfull of folks in the 18 months, what a long strange trip its been!

If one would truly like to see the other side of mining from the guy without the good fortune.
My point of view as a person who is doing this every day I wont lie to you about any of it.
If im not prospecting and sampling, i am mining and fixing my equpment and finally milling, all to get my pay chk. Come to Claudette mill for dinner see how the small scale full time Desert prospector / Miner / Miller really lives, dont forget to bring the dinner.

We are all pulling for ya!

Plenty of Luck to you as you harvest your gold. Your beard must be of noteworthy status by now.

Isn't it that time of year to "press" those high school kids into service for pick and shovel work Herb? Just because schools out doesn't mean its time to stop learn'n besides, a strong back is a terrible thing to waste.

but im already prospecting...

Damn Herb...you're making me miss that desert even more!

Hope the finances straighten out for ya; I fight the same battle
to pay the bills every month, and then calculate how much gas
I can afford for prospecting with what's left. :BangHead:

Kiddo: Can't think of a better way for a young man like you to
spend a Summer than working for a good man like Herb. You should
know though that Herb's "The Real Deal" when it comes to tough
prospecting. He'd work ya hard day after day, but rest assured if
you spent the summer there you'd come home a much better
prospector and a better, stronger man, too.

Where Herb lives is hotter than hellfire most days, and every bush,
critter and bug stings, bites or has thorns. It's drier than a popcorn
fart, the digging is tough and days are long.

He's got a couple sons of his own, and the one I met was a fine
young man. I'd be willing to bet they're both tougher than shoe
leather, and know how to survive in that environment.

Just to clarify, he didn't offer, but if he ever did you might want
to think twice about what you'd be getting yourself into.
