Hey everyone,

Not many opp to hunt in the last month with the rain here in P.a. I did get out on a few trips when I could. I found 2 diff foundations since everything has died down. The one was really old to. I'd say pre 1850.

It was still standing for the most part. I didn't have my camera on me that day. Bad thing was there was open holes all over the place. I said to myself man they could have atleast filled there holes. It was a hard site to get to.

It was a really nice place to. I know who ever hunted it found some nice keepers. It was virtually hitless. But I hunted it really hard for about 2 or 3 hrs. I pulled up a few deep old coins. Plus found 3 old buckles with pated dates of 1884 1892 1892. I wanna hunt it again.

However that day though when I got back to my car I realized someone stole 2 of my crome center caps for my wheels on my car. I wasn't real happy. I guess it was a easy target off the side of the road near some woods looking broke down.

Weather here has been really great to. And I can't get out. Also while at that old site I came up with a nice sterling buckle though. It is marked. But not alot of great finds as of lately. Pulled a pretty nice 26 standing lib quarter though to.

Can't wait to get out in better weather again. I'll try and get a recap post of 07 of my finds for the yr. If you all would like to see them..

Good Luck,

Jeremy

Always a good post and great finds Jeremy! I'd like to see what that Olds could do on the Autobahn. HH buddy, Mike

Turn the Autobahn into a junkyard?
It is already a junkyard, has been since the wall came down! It was really bad in the early 90s with the Trabants, now it is all the Eastern country trucks using Germany as a crossroad polluting and infesting the Autobahns at 50 MPH. I am lucky if I can maintain 100MPH for any length of time during business hours, average is around 70MPH with traffic. What would you hit the Autobahn with Plehbah, just curious? I drive an Audi A3 Diesel 4 cylinder 1.9 Liter Turbo that will maintain 120MPH+ when I can. It is also my detector mobile and goes places hard to believe. HH, Mike

GREAT FINDS!!! I would certainly consider taking my hubcaps off, taking my radio and CD's out of the car, and then going to hunt it again!

Cheers,

Buckleboy

looks like you need to hit that one again, just remove your caps next time

Nice finds for last year. Sorry to hear about your center crome wheel caps.

Thanks alot guys,

Mike, I'd love to get her out on the autobahn. I could then see what she could really do. The highways in P.a are terrible. Plus it's against the law here to speed lol. I've hit a few straight aways though at up in around 125 mph.

It is so smooth at those speeds. This car really loves to be opened up. Most cars now in the states are governed to 108. This one was a rare autobahn package that has no limiter and a top speed of 148. V- rated tires are recomended for the car. It is also atleast a second faster in the 1/4 mile than the non autobahn.

Very nice cars. But expensive to maintain. Olds really over did it with this vehichle. Everything is electronically controled. It has 4 oxygen sensors. All types of sensors. This vehichle came out in 95 as the official pace car. The same 4.0 32V engine was putting out like 800 hp. It was modified though.

Don't see many of these around nice anymore. Not many mechanics can diagnose them at times. Good car though once you can get them correct. It still easily blows away new cars on the street. My wife's 06 pontiac G6 don't got nothing on this olds.

Yes,

I would like to hunt the site again. It may be a good idea to take the centers off the car though. I hunt in alot of bad areas. I also noticed to that my key hole on the side they got the centers from looked tampered with. The lock was slightly tilted. They may have wanted to get in the car and steal all the cd's I had in cases on the floor. Man you can't do nothing nowadays without watching everything.

Thanks again guys,

HH Jer

Jer,
Looks like some nice stuff. I don't like hunting in muddy or really rainy conditions - only if I've been cooped up too long.
