Found on a beach this morning that uses a sifter at night, I will never ever again believe those things clean a beach of everything. I have hunted this beach area before too several months ago. You never know what might be under your toes ;D haven't found anything newer than 79 so far and older than 63. nice clump of copper :icon_thumleft: Stuff all fused together like you see

Shut up! Are you kidding, that is an awesome find . I once found in a gravel parking lot about 70 . Like someone emptied their ash tray woo hoo pennies or not you will remember that find, nice Rob

Somebody must have robbed a bunch of old bubble gum machines and hid the loot :laughing7:

Awesome find, It leaves the mind to wonder how in the world it got there.

Whoa, now that's an incredible find. It appears as though the pennies were in rollers when they were buried. (Just from the way they're stacked and mostly all in the same direction.)

Frankly, due to the complete uniqueness of this find, I honestly believe it should be a BANNER FIND!!

Congratulations on a find that will be hard to beat!!

The piggy bank theory is plausible, or maybe something to do with a robbery.

What's the total number ?

:o
What the &$%@!!!!!
Cha Ching. Nice find.

Wow buddy. That looks like an exciting find. Congradulations.....

Clean it up, and re-attach any loose coin. Spray it with a clear varnish, and mount it on a nice piece of wood or frame it in driftwood. It looks like a sculpture and may sell well as an object d'art. It also has an interesting story that will drive up the price. Ebay is waiting...somebody out there will like it.

Banner find!! Never seen that b4!! Great find!!!

lol I am going to keep it but I like the idea you gave me for displaying it thanks

I would take it to the bank and plop it on the counter and tell the teller you would like to make a deposit just to see the look on thier face lol. Cool find, have some fun with it.

Now thats just wierd, must of been an intentional burial............K.KID.

Actually our waters are full of stuff like this from the hurricane water rising and the waves blowing out homes along the coastlines of the beach. I know of one home in the Pensacola area that was lost with $30,000 in old coins from Hurricane Ivan. It is still out there somewhere. Most people don't think the storms will get that bad and then they are unprepared when they do. Most of it is still underwater and does show occasionally from tide surges. The bottom of this is a mesh with some wire probably from a sack they were in, and mothernature electrolited them together mixing the salt from the water with the copper.

I don't know they are kind of stuck together, it weighed 11 pounds 9 ounces on a scale
