Found on a beach this morning that uses a sifter at night, I will never ever again believe those things clean a beach of everything. I have hunted this beach area before too several months ago. You never know what might be under your toes ;D haven't found anything newer than 79 so far and older than 63. nice clump of copper :icon_thumleft: Stuff all fused together like you see

Gee, the other day I found a penny.....just one.....only one......sshhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeshhh!!!
GOOD FOR YOU! :headbang:

need a penny, take a penny. need 2 pennys, need 3 pennys get a job. :laughing7:
awesome BEF

thats wild, i wouldn't be able to fit all those in my pouch or pockets to make it back to the truck :dontknow:

That's cool!
I'm guessing 1686 pennies based on the weight of one penny at 3.11 grams.
11 lbs 9 oz equals 185 oz that translates to 5244.66 grams divided by 3.11 equals 1686.something.
The artistic value outweighs the monetary value both figuratively and literally!
I'm imagining you carrying that thing to your truck.
Great Find! No doubt once in a lifetime!

I just can't imagine in my mind how they could have gotten there, I can't see where anyone would take a bundle like that and bury it on the beach where it most likely would be found. HOWEVER....maybe that's what the one who buried it WANTED to happen. Maybe he wanted to live daily with the expectation that someone would find it, and in that case he could live vicariously with the thought of someone else's excitement when they discovered it?? It's sad, but that is all I could come up with as to a reason why anyone would bury it there. Other than that, it could be a freak of nature, the tides, storms, etc. :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: PP

I am sure it was a storm blow out that was brought in by the last high surge next hurricane or surge I will be looking again in that area as maybe there was more than one sack in the home probably never find a find like it again

BEF,

What a haul! You amaze me with your finds. I guess all your time working up high and no detecting is balancing out.
