Well we had our first detecting of the year today. Found .11 cents and a pocketfull of junk this morning. LLK (Lucky Little Kid) wanted to try again this afternoon. Went to a local house built in the 1870's that has been remodeled many times over the years. LLK wanted to search under the porch. After a few minutes of grumbling and complaining she said she was going to try near the old stairs under the existing porch. The next thing I heard was the eardrum shattering shrieks of a nine year old girl digging up an old canning jar full of something "heavy". LLK was shaking so badly I could here the coins rattle in the jar. After we got the lid off and dumped out the contents, there we stood staring at a pile of Eisenhower Dollar coins, 100 of them to be exact! The family that lived in the house from the late 1930's until the early 1990's had thirteen children, I am sure this had to be their "Rainy Day" money. LLK hunted a few more minutes and also found a 1930 Wheat Penny. LLK may have had all the luck finding this cache today, but I believe I'm the lucky one for having such a great detecting Buddy!

Looks like you found it with the Mighty Tesoro too. You should send that story & pictures to them to use on their site.
