Hi everyone I'm new and I was hoping that this was right place for getting my questions answered. These are pictures of what I found while walking in the woods with my husband. Not sure what it is I know what I hope it is. So if anyone could help or happens to know what it is I would appreciate any information, thank y'all? Doesn't look like any bones or petrified wood i've ever found (with bones you can see the pours and wood the grain and pours)
One thing i've never found is dinosaur doo. Maybe calcified dinosaur doo??? That would be cooler than a geode!

Maybe a stalactite or stalagmite? is there any large caves in the area?
Looks Cool

Check the area where you recovered it. Unusual to find just one geode, unless it was carried there from another location. How heavy is it?

Welcome to tnet Sarah! This is a really cool find. You might check the specific gravity of one of the cut off ends against the sg of the large piece and see if the if it might be hollow. If so that thing might have some really beautiful crystals inside.

It is not a geode. Google images shows nothing like that as being a geode. I vote for piece off a stalactite or stalagmite.

Pretrified Ham Hock. Should be some petrified beans laying around the same area. Cave Cowboys were probably attacked by Cave Indians, spilling the beans. It happened more than you could imagine.
This actually made me laugh out loud
