hey welcome to tnet

I can't get the one that I've got now to go hunting with me. "It's too hot and there might be a snake or some biting bugs out there" <-That's what she said. :laughing7:

:hello: Welcome to TNET's North American Artifacts! Wishing you all the skill and luck in finding those artifacts. :icon_thumright:

If anyone is interested I have an excellent place I think it's where they used to make them or an old living site . I have found tons of half made pieces some broke ones some nice pieces of pottery ect ect it's along a hillside next to a river been going there for a couple years but have only been out there about 7 times I plan on going a lot as soon as it warms up but would love to have a partner to hunt with

Sounds like you may be on A quarry site... myself.. And many others I'm sure Would love to walk the site with you... long way from Florida though. It's extremely generous of you to bring someone with you. I'm sure you can find someone in your area.

Yeah that's one thing I have seen a few times

There is a sandy field across the river I am going to check out again I found a pestle there last year and a few broken pieces but only had an hour to hunt since its about an 1 1/2 from where I live. Also the place I have hunted is up a hillside but its funny I noticed there are three spots where whether its man made or natural there are 3 spot that looked like the flat stones were made to just out off the side in kind of like stacked triangles its weird once u notice also it's a little hike up the side of the hill to a huge flat area then the hill roses high behind where I dig but have mostly found everything along the edge where the formations are any ideas y?

Sounds like That's a natural formation Of lithic stone jutting out of the hillside and was a quarry site for the natives of the area.

Cool Ty for the information. I'm going one day this week prob gonna freeze to death but I've got the fever and can't wait any longer for spring to get here just gonna bundle up and go.

I would be right there with you! Best of luck to you.. that sounds like a great spot! Can't wait to see how you do.
