Alpha have you ever had any replies?
I to have all the gear and no where to go.
Couldn't get out much this summer having a new job and new jobs are hard come by lately.
I was thinking if I could get into one of the gravel pits where they have all ready dug down a good 500 feet we might be able to find something. If you know a friend of a friend that can get us in some place give me a call out.
OK I know it is starting to get cold out; but there is always spring to look forward to.
I have tried panning a few of the streams around here with out much luck, Just some dust.
The theory is that gold is heavy and wants to travel to bedrock. With sand and gravel up to 500 feet thick you have to dig down a long way to get to it. I was looking at some of the streams up north maybe to find some bedrock.
I read in the Journal Sentinel that they are dredging the fox river up towards Green Bay pumping the slurry to land and possessing the PCB'S out of the sediment and using the sand and gravel left over for road jobs????
