Lost a Doggie Today

Jim I feel your pain, and it really hurts. I lost 2 last year, 15 year old sister and brother :). It was as hard if not harder on my husband. :-\ I have had a dog all my life and rescued a Dixie dog 6 months later, it didn't make it any easier (I cried on the way home from the shelter). But.....it was the best thing I ever did in my life! My husband wasn't sure he could handle it (don't tell him I told :)) Micki is not my dog, she is my husbands.

Take some time, but help a dog that needs you. Better yet help a dog you need. :)

My dear friend
It is very hard I know
But it isn't the end

My doggies like yours
Are dear family
Now in the hands of our Lords

No longer any pains
No longer a seizure
Just running open roads and lanes

Just know we each care
We each know the hurt
Many hugs of comfort there

Tonight we all hold you dear
For you and your family's lost
We are so sincere

It is our lost too
For we think
So dearly of you

I honestly believe
Your kids are with mne
Once they leave

Playing and running around
Stopping only when
They hear that sound

Then laying in the grass
To greet us at our turn
To walk down the path

Upon them we will see
A waggling of their tail
Dropping to one knee

Hugging and love
For God heals them too
And takes them above

Take care my brother
My prayers and cares
Many hugs too

Hey MJ.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. What a pretty doggie. Looks like one my brother had named Cloe, she went missing this past year, it made us all sad. I had a little shi zu named Buster that I raised from a pup. I could carry him in my shirt pocket. He was so smart. I still miss him. We've got a German Shepherd now named Jack. I love him too.

You oughta get another. They are work when they're pups but worth it don't you think.

Dog's are some of the best people I know.

JIM, I cried when I saw the pic of your dog and the thought of you losing a member of your family. My dog got lost while I was in the hospital with my stroke and hasn't been found yet. I am thinking of getting another dog, though only time will replace the ones we lost. They make footprints in our hearts.

Thank you Sandman... and everyone.

Funny how much it hurts...

This was not the first for me or the last... it seems we are all glutton for the punishment of losing or dogs (cats, dogs... whatever...) but do it over and over because we know the value they add to our lives far outweighs the horrible feeling of lose.

We are still enjoying our German Shepherd "Harley" and he is a great family member!
