Lost Snuffer Bottle

I Was working about 1.5-2 miles upstream from Mineral bar bridge today and while doing one of the deep river crossings my Snuffer bottle with gold from that morning floated out of my side pocket so if you find it it's your lucky day!

Luckily I brought a back up to finish out the day but had to start over

Anyways had a great day prospecting, swimming etc.

Giving some back every once and awhile is good karma. Very frustrating.....but good karma.

I think I've lost 4 over the ten years I dredged - each one was a pretty hefty gold loss - oh well, lol

I fill mine with about 1/4lb of lead and water so it always sinks.
If I am in fast water or rapids I have a very nice little fishing leader with 20oz of lead weights at the end that ALWAYS keeps it where I drop it.

All this because I have had to go scrambling downstream too many times to catch my runaway snuffer bottles.

I hear that dropped snuffer bottles migrate back to their source once a year to breed where the gold was found so be patient it'll come back next year
