Major bank score

[silvercop]

i had a major score today. i know it is not much for alot of you guys but it was for me. i get a call from a teller friend of mine at a branch of my supply bank. she is the fill in teller and she works at different bank branches. she called me and said i have something here that you might be interested in. she then tells me that a little old lady brought in 10 rolls of halves and cashed them in. she said that she opened the rolls and was getting ready to ship them to the fed and she started finding old halves. i asked her how old and she replied 1897,, and several from the 40's and 50's. i told her i wanted all 10 rolls and i ran right over to get them. turned out 4 rolls were clad but the other 6 were silver. (almost 6). here is the take with pics. oh yea this is my very first barber after almost a year hunting.

Wow ! What a great score ! And a Barber to boot ! Lots of solid rolls showing up in the wild. Might be a good time to start getting some quarter handrolls as well.

Keep it going !

I respectfully diasgree that " i know it is not much for alot of you guys ". This is a darn good haul any day of the week. If I had heard the teller say what you were told, I would have hot footed it over to the bank ASAP!

CongrAGulations, and keep working the vein!!

What do you mean, not much? That's a great score by anyone's standards. Nice going on the barber, is that your first?

[silvercop]

yea that is my first barber from the wild. still waiting on one of those magic brinks boxes that you found. right now i am currently on a skunk roll with them....28 in a row

[mountainman 2]

Yeah, i haven't exactly been burning up the track either.8 of my last 12 boxes have been skunks.

[AGCoinHunter]

Very nice! Love the Barber. Congrats

Just curious, what delivery service do you get your boxes through? Brinks?

[maine_Jim]

Don't you just love it when they call you up to come pick up the silver! Only had a few of those calls but and some have been for naught but I'll always make the trip for one of those calls!
