Well this is starting off to be a cruel cruel year. Here in Ohio we have gotten over 3 feet of snow and in single digit for the high. I am going crazy to get out and do some detecting. But I keep tell myself with this frozen ground it should push some nice finds up to the top so I can find them. So come on with the big thaw, I am ready.

I feel your pain bro. This has been one of the coldest winters that I can remember in a LONG time.

I know what ur going through, weather has been ridiculous in Pa. Heck last year I was out already finding silver this time a year ago.

Here in Minnesota it's going to get around 25-30 below zero, I don't think the ground will thaw out until august!

However moving to Canada in the next couple of months where the temps were at -45 for a couple weeks

was there in first part of october one year and was 10 during day and single at night. here in ohio its been like it use to be. Its cold but better then rain rain rain weve been having.

They're calling it a polar vortex, it's more like a polar shift! Cold where it was warm, warm where it's was cold!
I just want it to thaw enough to get a digging tool into the ground! Before I go nuts!

Anyone for ground hog hunting "Before he sees his shadow?" lol Frank... 111-2 700Warrior Head.webp

Here in Newfoundland, on the east coast of Canada, we had a brutal December. It warmed up in January and we actually lost 40 inches of snow in one week due to heavy rain. Been out detecting and planning to go out again this week but it will be cold again but at least the majority of the snow is gone. HHing!
