During my recent "Down Time", I have been lurking and studying
old maps of our area. I recently found a map that showed that a
section of a Major road had been moved about 200 feet, and a few
OLD homesites had been torn down to accomplish this.
In the area, the state has been maintaining the area. Which, in our
state, makes it fair game to detect. YESSSS!!!
My first trip to the area with my detector was a short trip, but
produced this beautiful little Seated dime from 1891. This is my first
seated, so I am very excited.

I have hope for this sight and hope to post more finds from it.
Thanks and treasure to all!!!

Congrats on the seated; especially a New Orleans mintmark, which is unusual for the Mid Atlantic region.

I would say that 99% of my finds come as a result of research. With the heat wave hitting the east, I have been researching some new sites to hit as soon as it cools off. I have found numerous promising sites.

WTG on the seated!

that's a beauty, keep searching the area, may be more

Great find, can't wait to see what else comes out of that site.

Excellent find! I love it. Some of my family grew up in Hagerstown MD and knows alot about the 1930's - 1960's.

After everything the family has been through,
