Trying to translate this Japanese marking on a match box holder I picked up today. The bottom tests good for sterling, I didn't test the top portion though. It might even be upside down, i'm not sure. lol

Best place for translation might be Yahoo Answers.... I have put translations of Japan/Chinese stuff on there and always got my answer.

The top says "Gin" which means Silver
The bottom says "Sei" which means made of

So it's not a makers mark then, just a silver mark. Cool. Thanks for the info.
