Very nice. You are slaying them from the site this year. Is Steve finding much? Haven't seen him post much lately.

Very nice artifacts, the two in the second pic look amazing, the color is beautiful.:icon_thumleft:

and deserves every bit as he helps take care of the site

Wow! Amazing material. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Yes I've had a good run at finding some nice stuff latley. Steve hasn't been able too make it out as often as he used to - other responsibilities don't allow him the time to get out much right now.

on the first image....
stand back 5 or 6 feet and look
it resembles the face of a (mandan dandy?)
it looks as if his eyes are closed
see it?

Amazing. You have a good eye for detail. There it is, as plain as day.

Yeah, that's why I titled this the "Mandan Spirit" . I was wondering if any one else would see it.

I love the material that ya'll have out there!

Very colorful artifacts. I usually find black or specked quartzite and some quartz.

I saw that as well. The light hit just right on that one. I wander how many others noticed that, and the odds of it being crafted to show that. Nice edge on that one as well.

Looks like you found some ''pretty'' nice artifacts. Those small flake knives sure are dandies, especially the first one that appeares ''Ghostly''.

i see that scraper you were telling me about
when we talked i was saying i have never seen a knife or scraper made from rainy buttes SW
reason is it was softer, and easy to work with.......but did not hold an edge
i am fairly sure that piece is red jasper....almost positive....see the black specks? RBSW doesn't have those
however old digger dennis sent us a piece of rainy buttes SW that looks like a scraper, so who can say for sure?

Thanks Steve, I'll look closer.

The real spooky thing is that it's deep - and 3D. When you hold it at different angles, you see other features and the eyes are always looking right at you.
