Merry Christmas form new guy in Ohio

Hello everyone,

I finally joined and it didn't hurt one bit.

Merry Christmas to all of you.

I've enjoyed this site for a long time and I tell everyone that will listen to stuff that goes on here, especially my 79 yr old Dad. He started me metal detecting in 1986, he is legally blind now and I will read him some of the articles that I know interest him and he starts smiling from ear to ear when the banter starts going. He started coin roll hunting before I was born--(1956) and has always collected coins since I could remember.

He picked up the metal detecting hobby in the 70's and then got me hooked in 1986 when he bought me a Whites detector as a birthday present, it just had one knob on it, I can't think of the model right now, my cousin borrowed it 2 yrs ago and haven't seen it since, I loved that detector. I use a Whites Prism III now but I am looking to upgrade soon and will be doing alot of research on here plus I see some of you sell them also and have very good reviews too.

It feels so good to finally join you guys, this is my Christmas present to me.
