Metal detecting in mines, yalls best suggestions?

Good advice so far on the Gold Bug 2 etc. You also might consider falcon md20 it is good on small gold and is often used for checking hard rock samples. Not much depth though. They are also under $300 so it won't cost a lot to try one. I own one and love it.

So NVKermit, did you find a detector at the show? I almost picked up a GB2, but in the end went home empty handed.

I didn't win a metal detector but I did pick up a Whites GMT

AND I already scored gold (I was one of the first 100 on Saturday and got free Gold)


I will be heading out to the mines at the end of the month to scan all the tailings and surrounding area (outside of the shafts only, this time)
