Hey everyone.
On May 21, I went metal detecting at an old homesite in the middle of the woods. The way I found this site is interesting.
When I was around 5 or 6 years old, I remember having a dream of an old house in the middle of the woods. I remember that it was right down the street from where I live, and I had this dream a lot. Well, I stopped having this dream, but out of nowhere, last September, I had this dream again. This made me wonder if there was an actual house there. I looked at Google Maps, and sure enough, there was what appeared to be an old foundation in the middle of the woods.
I went here today with my dad, and we spent more time exploring then we did detecting. We found a couple old bottles and there are probably 4 or 5 bottle dumps that we have found so far. The metal detecting finds were an old piece to a lantern, 30 caliber bullet shell, and an old buckel. It was so cool to check this place out, because this is the place that was in my dreams. We will be going back here hopefully soon, and I know this place is going to be great for some old coins and relics.
