Metal Detector? Sometimes you dont' need a Metal Detector!
Arrived home after a quiet chilly hour at the beach. Been wanting to "do" the beach for over a week. Even after a rainy morning the addiction is high. Picked up a handful of clad running my machine with no disc. Hoping to pick up jewelery but I dug up aluminum slaw almost every scoop. The coins however rang in so positively that I just KNEW they were coins. Pickings were slim but with the sun setting and the seagulls flying the ambiance was difficult to beat.
My knees were aching as I arrived home and pulled myself out of the driver's seat. But WAIT! There..in the middle of the street...is that a glint of gold?!?!
As I carefully looked both ways up and down the street (ALWAYS good advice!) I bent over and picked up the thinest gold chain I have ever seen! It's missing the main clasp but looks to be in far condition for laying there in the middle of the street..good thing it's a residential street.
The Stones said it (paraphrased by my memory): "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes...you can get what you need".
