I've already told ya all where I'm at, But what ya may not know is that, I got into this crazy hobby back in 1960. Yep, you read that right, My parents when trying to curb my unsatiable, unncontrolable, overactive trouble making nature, bought me a Radio Shack metal detector for my tenth birthday. Anyone here know what a B.F.O. is
? That's how most detectors operated back then. Beat Frequency Oscillator, look it up, good for approximately 3 inches max. deep, tot lottin' and sand huntin'. Yes, the good ole days are gone. And I did spend all the silver I found
. I did start saving coins again, mostly common date silver coins, and in 1979 when silver was 58.00 an ounce, (look up the Hunt Brothers) I cashed in 120.00 and got 4200.00, no I didn't buy a new machine, I bought a new truck. Started saving again for a new machine. After the Radio Shack I bought a White's Metal or mineral no meter (dig it all) with the 4 DB coil, next upgrade was to a Compass yukon 94B, Compass Judge 1 auto., Compass Judge 2 auto., Compass Relic Magnum 7, then Fisher 1260-X, Fisher CZ-5, Fisher 1265-X, Fisher 1266-X/HotHead coil ( I still use it ) then my final machine, A Minelab Explorer XS, which is 9 years old and still producing. Just purchased the new 11", "DD" Pro Coil for it. All my old haunts are producing silver again. Averaging 10" for pennies, up to 14" on silver and larger stuff. In fact I am going back to my fav park today to get some more DEEP silver
