Military Button to Add to the Collection...and a Good One!

I got back out to the site I've been pounding to death and it still did not disappoint! I had three hours but only needed an hour to find the keeper. It's a Royal Nova Scotia Regiment silver plated officer's button. Regiment was only in existence from 1793 to 1802 so not too difficult to date the find! Not quite a Rev. War button but pretty close! Also got some brick-a-brack including a pistol shot musket ball, a toe tap and a tombac button.

hmmm... I think that might be a little different other than just being silver plate. I think my gilt one has the words more towards the outer edge but would have to check to be sure. Didn't know silver ones existed so is cool.

oh yeah, it's definitely close, and I'm actually 2nd guessing myself if there's much of a difference.

Don't think they put too many Victorian crowns on buttons for regiments which cease to exist during that era.
