Didn't mean to single you out. You should have be 'someone' . There is no faith in science. It is just the current understand based on what is known. There are theories, but they are qualified as such. Many things are not yet sorted out, and scientists are trying to figure that stuff out. They admit ( or should ) what things are unknown.

No problem at all, I love debates and hearing different ideas and theories on various topics. That's how you learn and grow. I do however think that there is faith involved in many scientific topics. Multiverse has moved to the top of my list!

All universes, galaxies, black holes, are out there for us to live and explore.
We are here to propagate the stars.
Everything is pre designed by past and present knowledge of every species out there.
It is governed and created by a entity of all accumulated knowledge throughout time and space space/time.
If it was thought about and movies made, it can be done..
We can travel space as the Frequencies we are, just gotta figure out how..

I’ve always been amazed at how closely math and geometry fits nature. Could the answer be as simple as math and geometry is based on and formulated on nature and nature alone? That means nature is a constant? What else did the Greeks have to study other than nature?! What do we currently have to compare it to? Nothing more than nature!! Think about it.

We are not here by happen chance, or by sheer luck. It’s something to think about, the limits of our physical bodies. The complexity of our thoughts and emotions. Really - I think we do not see the forest for the trees. Human nature. Math is a best fit of the universe and the universe is a constant. Therefore if the universe changes in the slightest amount - the math collapses. Humans are so proud they see it the other way. If the math changes in the least bit, the universe collapses! How obviously ignorant. Makes perfect sense to me. Anybody else?

We live in a biosphere that grows enough greens and cycles enough moisture to sustain life.
In our magnified eyes of telescopes and satellites and rockets views there's not another such in sight.

Not all rocks host lichen. Celebrate the ones that do. And those that don't.

I'm for hedging bets.
What if the Bible bangers are right?
What if this rock is the one to host life (as we experience) down the road and not a substitute elsewhere?
What are the random odds of evolution vs creation.

Belief is faith is in the unseen.

I read an article years ago from a Cambridge physics professor. He collaborated with a renown mathematician to calculate the odds of life forming accidentally from non-living matter. He stated that where the non-living matter arose from was another avenue to ponder as well. This is just one cell arriving randomly that he was considering, not life as we know it presently. The number was 10 to 77. That is roughly the number atoms in the know universe.

Pi is not a number you can precisely know because it is an infinite non repeating number. You can keep doing the math and keep calculating, but you will never be "done". But really, once you're past a couple hundred decimal places, does it even matter?

Infinity by definition is so large that anything that can happen will eventually happen, like putting a monkey at a keyboard for infinity, he will eventually type out something by Shakespeare, by random. So Pi is infinite and doesn’t repeat, yet if it is infinite, somewhere it must repeat (anything that can happen must happen). But that breaks Pi, which would mean there really isn’t any such thing as a circle, but we know there is so it must be infinite, or technically be a number larger number than infinity. Whew.

A monkey would by nature want a banana, have to throw poop at you, and eventually would get old and die! Actually time isn't the cure all for these types of scenarios. We cannot qualify that anything that can happen will eventually happen. Faith? It keeps popping up.

I enjoy these thoughts and deep dives.... When I was a kid, the parts of an atom were the smallest things known.... the deeper you go the deeper it goes. I love the thought that the majority of the mass in the universe is...sub atomic particles. Dark matter?... i guess that is a discovery for another generation. Folding space? Boy howdy I want to see that!~

Just on a side note... without our moon, there would be no life on earth...life as we know it anyway. The complexity of everything just goes deeper and deeper and deeper. Even the fact that we can have this conversation is pretty awesome. Natural selection produced us from progenitors that did not have our mental, or (and especially) our linguistic abilities.

I like to look at it like this too... there is an Einstein born in every generation, the pyramids were built 4,500 years ago and remained the tallest manmade structures until the Eifel tower was built. Ant they are still standing today. I sure would have liked to see them in there ancient glory... smooth, shining white with gold tops!
