After viewing video, my conclusion is thus; The dd Minelab is obviously turned sideways, therefore not accepting true depth? The Tesoro is positioned in normal operating stance, and will naturally have more depth.
I will soon try the same experiment w my Cortez and new ETrac.
Peace

Video is bogus!
Take a Cortez and an ETrac into a real detecting environment. Results will tell all.
Peace

Well I was going to comment about air testing an explorer II..but TH beat me to it and said what I would have.
Now I cannot comment on a 1266 but on my old 1265, that bugger hits Indians at 9 inches solid running full discrim, with the stock 8 inch coil..I'd gladly give up my explorer if I could ever get so lucky.like Larry..lol to find a Los banos 1270..for what I know of the fishers, the LB ones seem to be on steroids.
Though I have very little use on the explorer since winter came so early last fall when I got it, but I recently got Andy sabisch's book on the explorer II..an man that book really is worth its weight in gold..now I need to go postal on the postman for folding it and ruining it!!!
Anyway, hope everybody has a great spring, and hope to see you in the field.

Mike

PS..anybody has a battery cover for a 1265, so I can get it factory serviced..lemme know!!
