Yes it does Gypsy, it proves that these initials are impossible to read.
But actually I agree with trusty, looks like "WB" to me.

WSB - the s looks like the olde lower case f

That's very nice and I suspect very old - my guess 1600 -1700's
and that is only a guess

I see a "W" and an "S".

Im not sure about the "B", but what else could it be? ...a "3" or "Z"?
I outlined what I think people are seeing as the "B" but Im not sure.
Its hard to say where the "W" ends, but part of it is needed to resemble a "B."

Could even be a small "e" in there. WeBS?
