Mt. Shasta in a different light

I posted a picture here awhile back of basically this same scene. That one was in the morning with the sun on the opposite side.

watch out, that mountain is supposed to open an let the ancients out....whole herds of crystal gazers live up there now...

I passed by that mountain in 2003 and saw a bolt of lightening hit the peak. I swear i could see a snow cloud erupt from the hit.

Yes, I believe people do climb it. I know they do climb the mountains, like MT. Hood, and others here in Oregon. They keep "Search & Rescue busy here
a lot.

ron, my wife took this pic of Shasta from I-5 when returning from a trip to WA. Not much snow left on her right now huh?

Seems like folks die every year climbing Shasta. They don't realize how cold and stormy it gets up there when it is nice weather at lower elevations.
