If every new model that came out was that much better than what's on the market now we'd all have to get one just to keep up. But experience has been it's more about knowing your detector and what it can really do. It's supposed to have from 1 to 8 tones and even a tone for pull tabs. If that's the case it makes all other detectors obsolete. A tab signal can turn out to be a ring. I am not trying to knock it and I am sure it has some very desirable features for it's price point. New detectors are like new cars, a new model comes out and everyone wants to be the 1st on the block with the new model. I have a Pro Pointer and a Whites pointer that came out a cpl of years ago and my go to pointer is the pro pointer.
