My 1967 Kennedy looks clad

I dont have a picture handy presently (but will post later) but wondered if anyone might have insight on why my 1967 I found in a random roll looks like its clad on the rim... I swear its looks half copper..

If you get a special mint set of a clad half dollar, look at the edge, it looks almost identical to copper-nickel clad. Uncirculated 40%ers often look almost identical to common clad, but the silver/copper quickly change color in circulation to become the greenish-grey hue we commonly associate 40%ers with.
