My brother and I went to Battle Creek this morning, we hit 2 different sites, the first one was a 1931 school, I only found new coins there but he found a 64 quarter, we went to our standby spot there which is city corner lot that has whats left of an old foundation and some huge pines, we both had only found a couple wheats each there and he had already put his Minelab in the back of my truck and was watching me dig an iffy signal and I pulled out a buffalo and he was looking at it and I passed my coil over the hole and there was something else there, I grabbed a clump of dirt still in the bottom of the hole, pulled it out and ran it over my coil and sure enough in the middle of that clump was a beautiful shiny merc, he then started metal detecting again and found a 37 merc. This site has really done us justice, and I'll probably go back again. I found the Tony the Tiger pin at the school site. I was in the back yard of the school and you can see one of their factorys from there with a big Tony Tiger thing in the front yard, it smelled just like fruit loops there. The square nail is the biggest I've ever found.

But looking at that in perspective, we parked there so in the past others have too and that's where the coins may have gotten lost, near paked cars.??
