Hi hunters.
Here is my collection of Celts/Axes, I found the Notched Axe, here in NC. The others were given to me by friends..
I'm not really a Stone(s) fan because 'I can't get no satisfaction' LOL. I'm strictly a pointy rock lover. But will treasure these forever.
I love getting Artifacts in the post. ::)

I posted this once before but here is some of the "Hardware" we've found from our 3 acre field aka "The field that never fails" I found all of these but the big one at the bottom. My little brother found that monster. I have found 3 more grooved axes since this pic was taken. I have only found 2 celts tho. This is just what I have found. There are probably 25 more grooved axes that my grandfather and uncle have found in the FTNF.

Thanks for looking.

Nice bunch of rocks everybody. Molly, looks like you started a good post here. As I get time, I'll try to post a few of mine that I got pics of.

Yes do, Thankyou Shawn. Look forward to seeing them.

Wow Twig, you have a couple of monsters there, impressive.. :o
Thankyou for showing us, I love looking at ppl's finds/buys.

Very nice Johnny, I wish I could find just one grooved, I was thinking maybe there wasn't any around here but after asking friends & surfing the Net, I now realise there's been some nice grooved axes found where I am in NC.
Thankyou for sharing those, excellent.

I would like to thank everyone for posting, I know its time consuming but, I & I'm sure others appreciate looking at collectors finds/buys.
Thankyou very much friends..

Molly.. :)

Here's a tool I found this spring that the kind folks here said may be a celt preform. Interesting to see the preliminary steps to making an axe point... and you have to wonder why the owner stopped and dropped it. Maybe he saw a bear :o.

I don't know much about stones but, sure looks like a celt, nice find. I'm sure you'll come across a whole one. I've found a notched celt but not a polished one yet. I've seen some really nice ones from NC too, so fingers crossed. I wish the farmer would throw out the stones for me. ::)

Molly. Thankyou for posting.
