my dirt hunting buddy called me today and said to stay home - bad storms coming

Beach closed when tim and I arrived – few minutes later, here comes Va Beach Ron and Jeff.------------------we shoot the bull and then the rains picks up, so we head for cover. 40 minutes or so I clears so we head back to the boardwalk. Beach is still closed, so we decide to walk down to 19th, the life guard says the beach will be opened in about 15 mins.

Now we run into Wes and Jimmy – they are mumbling as well – now we have 6 bull shooters, not long here come the guys from Ohio, roger and diamond jim.

15 minutes is up and the tell us to hit the lane – 8 minelabs fire up at once – oh boy

Ten minutes later-----------------beach is closed again – home we head

Going someplace different on Monday

Max, When they close the beach can you not still detect the dry sand? I know up here, or I should say NJ, we still can walk the dry sand when beach closures are up.

It is a bummer to arrive at the beach an they close it. It happens inland on freshwater beaches too where the health Dept. closes the beaches because of bacteria in the water.

They had closed pretty much all of VA Beach yesterday due to a lighting strike victim. The woman was struck while jogging on the beach. Just another reminder to always be safe guys and be careful hunting in storms.
