My favorite quotation

I like Yogi Berra quotes like "It's deja vu all over again" and "We made too many wrong mistakes." But my favorite one, is when asked what his hat size was in spring training Yogi said, "I don't know. I'm not in shape yet."

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, when the Orlando Sentinel asked why deputies shot an offender 68 times.


This criminal got pulled over on a traffic stop ended up 'executing' the deputy who stopped him, shooting him eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed. The low-life was found hiding in a wooded area with the dead officer's gun. SWAT team officers fired and hit the guy 68 times.

I still have that memorized after all these years. Every time I goofed off in science class, Mr. Butler would say "50 preambles on my desk tomorrow morning young man." He was one of the most talented teachers I have ever had. A photographic memory. And that is something to fascinating to witness.
