This was the first hunt where I used my TDI exclusively. I might have had 5 hours on the machine going into this hunt, but I feel I made some progress with it during DIV XVII. I worked hard for what I got between all the walking and all the small iron I dug. I didn't find anything I haven't found before this time, but at a DIV hunt, there is always the chance of digging an incredible relic.

In addition to the relics pictured below, I found 4 shell frags which I gave to a buddy of mine who didn't find much. I would like to have sampled a couple other areas of the Beauregard Farm, but just couldn't get to all the hotspots due to lack of time and excessive walking.

Here are my finds minus the four shell frags. I am always happy to dig ringtails and Gardners.

You got out and dug, so it was all worth it. :icon_thumleft: I would take that TDI to a Colonial site and pound out the relics. ;D  :icon_thumleft:

I get to see a lot of friends on these hunts and meet new ones. The relics are just icing on the cake :icon_sunny:

You had some nice finds Steve. That Culpeper iron belt is tough to hunt. HH, Quindy.

Thats a nice assortmant of finds, I agree that farm was huge, I felt like I was on a african safari with a BB gun using my MXT, that ground is horrible, you PI guys had the right idea.

Nice finds Steve , I am very interested in the DIV hunts. May I ask where I might get some info on how to participate in one of these hunts in the future ? Are there any other Rallys, For lack of a better word that take place down where the CW action was that a person such as myself may participate in ?? MaineRelic.

Keep your eye on this forum. You really have to check it every day because you never know when sign ups will be announced and they only last a week. Sign ups for the fall hunt have not happened yet.

You wont regret it Maine relic

Nice looking lead steve.

Looks like alot of fun. Looks like you did fairly well with the tdi. Always tough breaking in a new unit at first.

Nice finds. I was wore out from all the walking we did. But very well worth it. Man that place was big. It was our first DIV and we loved it. That ground sure made your machine read different. In one field all my relics read bullet or button with a good loud tone. Then I went into the field next to it and all the targets were reading iron.

Nice digs Steve :icon_thumleft: very cool of you to hook somebody up who's havin trouble :headbang:

Great recoveries Steve

Nice seeing you at the hunt. Hopefully we can dig together in the fall, maybe get into a nice deep pit loaded with glass. I still couldnt get over a ringtail! Given how many of those hunts I have been on, its ironic that the only one I have found was in Oregon.

Sorry about the ringtails buddy :laughing7: I tried to put you onto some :dontknow:

Yes, I am ready to dig some nice bitters, pepper sauces, sodas, and historical flasks for a change. A couple plates in the pit would be nice too

Nice finds!!!! I'd love to dig just one CW bullet sometime in my life!!!!

It is probably going to be hard to do since I live in Indiana, LOL.

Congrats On some nice Eagles & lead
Culpepper :o
