Hello everybody, SE MI here.

I found this sunday in my mothers backyard about 8" deep.
I have three older brothers and I was pretty sure which one had
buried it.

So I called my brother Matt and told him I found a sucrets tin- before I could
say anymore he blurted out You Found My

MARBLES

[attachment=2]

He buried it about 35 years ago.

So I suppose he wants them back! What a guy!

Nice! What kind of signal did it give your detector? I probably would have passed over it as junk.

How cool is that? congrats on the neat find.

Speaking of marbles..

I have probably dug a half dozen or so from my yard that were right near coins.

How many others out there get the surprise marble once in a while?

Hello cntrydncr1,Roadquest,Prober and Goldburn.

It was a foil / Iron signal, my second day out and I was digging everything just to see what it might be. Today in a little more than 2 hours I picked up 20 clad. Was running it on disc, set for nickle/ pull, who knows I may have missed a cache of marbles or 2. Found two 1965 quarters today, and have found 2 1965 dimes the previous days, can't seem to break that barrier. Did find out that md'ing in the city parks is ok. One of the parks used to have a school built around the 1930's, perhaps earlier. But it's been hot of late, and after finding 13 clads out there, I decided to come back ( when it gets down to the low 80's) so I can enjoy it more, but just before I left I found a 1951 wheater, so I think I might have some luck there.

Finders keepers, he lost his marbles, now he can't have them back! lol Too fun!! I would love to find something like that....such memories! Congrats on your first cache!

So, Band, Did you mention to your brother that you knew they were his because he was the only one that you knew had lost his marbles?

See, in my family it would have been a toss up as to whether they were mine, or any other of my siblings.

Best of Luck,
Mark
