Both are rocks didn't use my metal detector. These were found a couple feet from river where water had went down after the rain

Are they real? Does anyone know what they are, age, any information. Sorry I am new at arrowhead or artifacts. Figured I show just ask the experts and not try to reinvent the wheel.

Thank you all for any help or pointing me in the right direction

Welcome to both new members, Jenks, there is a "North American Indian artifacts" forum, post your finds there, you might find out more in two forums, just a suggestion to try and help.
Good luck julieamy and Jenks!

Oh man, I miss the days of figuring things out and trying to figure out what it all is and means. First, welcome to T-net. Second, great start.

I hope you figure out what that thing is but keep going. The finds only get better. Good luck and stick with it no matter what.

Can't tell you what they were used for, but can tell you that they're awesome! My wife is the artifact finder. I wish I could just once find something cool like that! Congratz

If the first item is very light then its most definitely tar, the second item looks like a regular rock to me.
