This morning I was asked what I wanted to do for Fathers Day. Metal Detect of course..... A kiss on the cheek and wishes of vast treasure and I was gone.
I have been waiting for the farmer to finish mowing the top fields on his property. Now that they are done I have about 10 acres more to hunt. The hits are few and far between but the finds are old. My last visit to this field gave me a musket ball, strap end and two large flat buttons. Todays hunt only gave me one keeper. Looks like a New Jersey Copper! She is pretty toasty but enough remains to ID.
On my hike to the field I saw a little deer in the grass. He stayed still long enough for two pics and a vidio clip
