Nice that you can still get out...it certainly is rare to dig early British silver...I have plenty of William coppers and George coppers...but no silver ones..Congrats

I have only dug two William coppers, ones I could Id... so even those are not easy here.

Great recoveries!

When I read the title & before opening, I knew what you had. So, all you need is a better one.

Thats a great way to finish off the year, even if today doesnt work out for you...Just incredible that you been digging the last two years on Xmas day without snow..wont be long before the nasty stuff comes in to stay for a while..
Congrats and well deserved

No you didn't because it could have been a sixpence. :)

That is a heck of a find! I wonder how many total ever made their way over...and to dig one? Glad your season has not just been extended, but is still kicking butt.

Wow awesome finds. Everyone on here makes my finds look like garbage. Most of my finds come out unrecognizable.

If I lived in your neck of the woods, I would probably just manage a pull tab and silver Rosie display. It isn't like it is easy, but us northeastern folks do enjoy an advantage. Then again, you guys do have all those gold coins just waiting to be discovered :tongue3:

Congrats on some nice digs, including the early & hard to find British Silver.
Maybe something else good will turn up tomorrow, and if not that's still a good way to end the season.
Persistence pays.

Dug plenty, but yes, the Shilling is the note my year will end on. And that's not so bad. :)

Was my first thought but my bet was correct.......lol I'm a good guesser, I guess.

Great find! I bet you're just lovin' not having snow, as I am. All I got to see the other day was a moose,(cow), at about 50 yds. Not unusual for our area, but rare none-the-less. Hoping to get out one more time before we get covered. Hogge

Very nice find! Hopefully you'll get another sooner rather than later!

I "was" enjoying it.

Congrats on that early silver find it's great regardless of the condition

Looks like you had some late season digging and it produced a nice one for you.
