Mr. Pepper took me to the fairground yesterday to hunt. It wasn't really cold, just windy. We found the usual pennies, nickels, and dimes. (modern nothing to brag about). Then I SAW it! It was laying just a few feet from me. Right on top of the ground. I could tell by it's shape it was a ring. My heart was pounding. Slowly I advanced towards it. I could hardly breath I was so excited!!
I sat down in front of it and gently picked it up. Tears came to my eyes.....then I was laughing so hard Mr. Pepper came over to see if I had lost my mind. ;) Be gentle with me folks. Please don't ask if I did the Happy Dance. :-*
Enjoy ;)

Here is my first ring, found last month! I, too, was quite excited when I dug this thing - seeing the glimmer of silver shining through the dirt. Well, when I cleaned it up, I found that it was one of those chrome plated plastic gumball machine rings. Oh well, maybe the next one will be gold.....colored!

hey Pepper,
the best part of metal detecting is finding all the things that can't be found with the detector. Like shoes, clothes, sunglasses, or a plastic ring. I have more fun know finding the things people leave behind that isn't made of metal because it is ( in my case ) usually more prevalent. Nice find :)

My first ring set my Chinese made detector into spasms! Lights flashed and sirens wailed and things began to vibrate. Well, it did in my head anyway. And the Icon over ring began flashing and pulsating over and over. Wow! I saw the shiney silver first and then the perfect circle of a........washer! You done good kid! M :D nty
