Went back to the spot I got my Capped bust half Dollar, little over a week ago. Was able to find a few more things. 1918 dog tax tag, little lead soldier, and a silver pen. And a musket ball.
Then on my way out, I was swinging going towards my truck and I got this wierd signal with a high tones.
Dug down and pulled out the Martingale. Didn't know what it was, thought it might be a rosette, but Bill D confirm what it was. Then right next to it I get the same kind of signal, dug down, maybe 9inch and out popped this beautiful plate. ( at least I think it is) lol.
Man what a feeling to hold this in my hand.
Coins are great, but nothing beats history!
Thanks for being here and looking.
George

Man O man! Beautiful buckle (I mean REALLY) and the Martingale is just a gorgeous centerpiece in any collection. Fantastic man. Oh, and I hate to see you with just one 3 ringer. Tell ya what . . . I'll send you a hundred 3-ringers, and you send me that buckle OR that Martingale! How about it??

Thanks Parson,
Its not the same, lol. I would like to find them!!

I'm nervous to go to England with George, he'll probably have a pouch full of Celtic gold on the first day haha!

I sure hope so!! Lol

I just found this on the back.

That's incredible George. This sort of personal touch on a CW relic really makes it special. Voting this one up top. What a great surprise to find on the back.

Incredible find!!!

Thanks Brad.
This makes it so much more personal.

Awesome find , I found my first US plate about three weeks ago, I'm still tore up about it, the 93rd Pennsylvania makes it that much sweeter, thanks for sharing [emoji106]

Plates are great, and rare enough to find for most of us! Only two to date for me, but I am still working on it!

Wow, I've found some plates before, but never one that nice--and one hardly EVER sees a martingale dug! Congratulations!!

Some of my best finds have been on the way back to the vehicle. Way to go! Congrats on the plate and martingale

Looks like an 83 to me George (wink)

Thanks Buck,
The only things I know I have learned on here, so I didn't know what it was because I never seen one posted. Lol

Little Round Top? Battle of Gettysburg? I've never heard of it. You learn something new every day in this hobby.
