Hey folks. As the title reads, this is my last post. This hobby has become an addiction for me, and has caused great grief in my home life. I am hanging it up. It was fun, but its got to come to an end, for the sake of my family and friends. Best of luck to you all. Cheers

I respect the decision of Ace. I've known others that put the hobby above wife and family and lost what
they needed most.

So friggen true. We'll see how much she minds your metal detecting when it turns to gambling or whatever else. My husband gave me a hard time about it to. So I went back to my previous addiction of animal rescue. After gaining 8 more fosters.... He's begging me to dig up junk again.

Ace... your wife must have had something to do with this... you should explain too us how this is ruining your home life so others that may be having the same issue can come too you for help.. Good luck in life and I sure hope you get back out swinging and digging again in the near near future!

I think I can understand from where you are coming from. At times, you can totally get engrossed in reading and replying to posts that the next thing you know an hour or more has passed, and other more important chores around the house need to be done. Just an example from my own observation.
