Went up to the NC mountains with Ridley yesterday to trim weeds on my lot.
My finds find was pitiful. An old button was my only keeper.

*Three bee stings.
*One old button.
*Modern Clad.

We are trying to gain permission to the old school house (church?) you see pictured.
Hopefully it will be a future silver site for us.

Here's my dumb move of the day. When ridley and I got to my lot and started trimming weeds, I noticed a scrap of wood laying on my lot. They were building another cabin across from my lot, so I thought one of the workers had throw it on my lot like litter. I found out the hard way that it was actually covering the entrance to the bees underground lair. OUCH!!!
I'll be more careful (and ready) for those little #*&%@^& next time.

MM, sorry about the bees. My daughter did a similiar thing and she came running into the house with bees all over her. I don't remember how many stung her but it wasn't fun for her. None of them stung me when I brushed them off her. Hope you guys get to hunt that school, looks neat.

Ouch. That's the only thing I don't like about this time of year is all the yellow jacket activity. I have been fortunate not to have stopped on a bee's nest yet.

Gotta have better luck next time.
