I took a short trip over the holidays to see an old army buddy and artifact hunter friend of mine in Noel Missouri. We found some broke stuff but this was the best of it all, I just hope he will let me come back. I'm calling it a Nebo Hill it's 5 5/8in long and 1 3/4in wide at the widest part, the stone type I'm not sure of my buddy called it Elk river flint, which makes sense , because I found it in a wash just off of the Elk river. I'm going to have to do some more checking on that stone type, my buddy don't know squat about rock types, anybody got any idea's.If you hold it just right to the light it almost has a sparkle to the stone.View attachment 918445Sorry no instu pics , the wife got me a new camera and she would not let me take in the mud till I buy a case. Missouri trip 12-24-13 008.webp

no idea on the lithic but it sure is a sweet artifact

I, like rock, have no idea of the rock type but it is a killer find. Thanks for sharing.

That is a monster killer point !!!!!! You know I have some pieces that resemble the material but the color isn't even close NOTWORTY !!!!!!!!

That is a pretty one.

Looks like a Sedalia Point. Nice!!!!

It would appear that way until you blow up the picture. You will see what appears to be the remnants of a Base. That is why I believe it to be Etley.

Hey my bad it's been a long holiday I meant to say A Nebo Hill but for some reason put lost lake. The base does not look to be broken , you can see where it was chipped that way or as Steve said it could be a Sedalia he would know on that type for sure. This point is out of my area, never found any of this type before, have only seen photos.

Steve know's his Missouri pieces. Could you take a picture of the base to aid in the determination of it. Not sure if Steve saw the base the way it was.

This was found in small creek wash that runs into the Elk, but you are right all those other river stone makes hard to find artifacts not to say they are tough on them also.

...I'm loving that green color....very nice find!!!

Well, that's one stupendous find! :notworthy: Congratulations!
