Got permission on an old property and found some pretty cool stuff. Haven’t dug a LC in a couple of years so I was super stoked when this one popped out at about 10”. People didn’t start settling in this area until the 1830s, so it’s difficult to find coins this old around here. The Michigan soil was kind to her… Also dug a pretty sweet relic commemorating a Maccabees camp in Kalamazoo in 1910. Also sweet condish :) anyway, thanks for looking and HH y’all, Griff

Congratulations! What did you clean the large cent with? That sandy soil must be really kind to copper:cross:

Nice!. That cent looks great!

Beauty for sure ! Love the honest patina on that bad girl !

Man that is one of the nicest dug LCs I've seen.

thanks cannonball! Gave it a bath in hot H2O2 and the used and old worn out chore boy scrub pad on it. I can’t take credit for the condition though, it’s definitely the soil.

That Matron really cleaned up nice.

Very Nice!! Congrats!!

Like you said it all starts with good soil. Beautiful coin and cleanup job!

Thanks man! Not sure about the gold face. I’m assuming it’s a Native American face and it looks like it was attached to maybe a brooch or pin of some sort.

That Large Cent is outstanding. You don't see them like that very often. I like that medal also.

WOW that largie is a BEAUTY! :occasion14:

Holy crap!!!!!!! That’s a beauty!! Congrats

Yes she sure is purty, congrats J! I really dig the pea shooters too, lotta digs overall!
Your relic collection drawers gotta be overflowing!

Congrats,

They don't get any better than that one.

Jer
