My theory on the Peralta Stone Maps and my quest to prove it.

Howdy Chuck,

I enjoyed all your photos, thanks for sharing them with us.

Well at least you eliminated a lot of ground, and had fun in doing so.

Coming out empty handed is way better than not coming out at all, better luck next time.

Or maybe he needed to make room for something else.
Chuck:

Looks like the saddle and panniers were abandoned.
Could it be that someone's pack horse or mule ran off and this is where he and his burden parted company?
If so, then the owner's probably still looking for his gear, if not his animal as well.

I would think the panniers would have been useful for carrying ore, or other bulky treasure.
Unless he had big enough pockets.

Face 2.jpgFACE.jpgIn my continuing search I noticed this...And if you look you can see the number 30 along the red line on the stone twice.33'30'30. From the top of the ridges you can see Weavers Needle to the south and 4 Peaks looks as one.

In a world filled with bullshit always wear boots that go above your calves.

Here`s a better view of the area where I saw the gold looking fines in the bowls of the bedrock. I remember having to go around the rock sticking out until I got to the clearing where the ground was pretty flat bedrock with puddles carved in it. I laid down to get a better look, and it sure looked like fine metallic gold dust. I could be wrong, a test would be needed.Possible gold location.jpg

Chcuk, send me a pm of where that area is.
The co-ordinates are off again.
The ones in the pic put me over at the end of Roosevelt.

33*33`15.57N, 110*59`29.56W POSSIBLE GOLD.jpg Maybe I got the co`s set on the wrong setting.

Those co-ords where close, so you where right.
How about this shot about 50-100 yards up the wash from your point.
Tailings, or just the rock formation falling down.

When where you over that far by Roosevelt?
Is this related to LDM,or are you just looking around for possible locations that fit the mine clues.
That is awful far to the east for a 4 day round trip ride.

I went out in March, I had some spots I wanted to check out so I went and had a look. Some people are dreamers and some are doers, I`m probably a little of both. I thought that I could make out a cross on top of the hill, all I found was a fence.

Chuck,

Hope all is well with you. It's amazing how many crosses, hearts, faces.......etc. you can find out there. Don't give up, the next one may be the real deal.

This one is even praying.......Obviously sculpted by the Jesuits:D

Good luck,

Joe
