Hello! Been a long, long while since I've posted...does anyone even remember me??? Lol haha. Anyways...I've been doing more yard sale hunting/re-selling then detecting this year. Made some killer finds and big chunk a change.

Only detected a few times this year which I now regret. Will be going out lots before Winnipeg winter comes on.

Found this suspender buckle on my friends yard which dates from 1896. Anyone know the age/info about this buckle? Any information or interesting facts would be appreciated. Can't seem to find it online. Thanks and HH

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

That's a neat find! Don't know the age but I remember seeing them when I was a kid. I wear suspenders now but my buckles are much different. LoL

Looks to be a stamped brass suspender buckle. I'd say late 19th century, which matches the date of your site.

Sure I remember you MV. Good to see you back, and nice buckle.

nice find and save, wtg!

for some reason I like buckles, nice find

Thats a promising find Mygirl. I'm guessing there must be lots of other goodies hiding out on that site. I wish you good luck finding them.

Unfortunately the site has had much work done to the ground...lots of added dirt. Think I've found about all of what can be recovered.

This is a CH. GUYOT suspender adjuster. If it doesn't have his name on there...it's not genuine. I have found very early CH. GUYOT buckles, and later nickle-plated ones. Nice find!
