Probably has to comply with some insane nozzle size 'regulation'. "Just because you can..." If you absolutely have to I'd say do it at the nozzle. 3" ID ring welded to 4 standoffs. Get as much space between the ring and those standoffs as you can so to let in as much water as possible. My .02 dwt

- If doing this to meet regs make sure they state if your hose can be oversize compared to min/max nozzle diameter.

SSF comment is best

but in a pinch, 4x3 reducer and any three inch pipe, ABS, PVC, muffler shop mandrel, this was for the five inch worked great

The welded rings are a wrist saver as that way it's MUCH easier to remove rocks from the nozzle tip. After removing a few 1,000 you'll be a much happier dredger. Some nozzles come with the ring already on and you measure and the works done. John :laughing7:

Ill prob just have a 4inch nozzle and a "necked" down one to change out depending on where i go.
