Wow 63kb that looks fantastic. My husband loves rucking over mountains to camp and find a good fishing spot!! He would love it out there! Be safe!

Alex won't be if he doesn't keep a good attitude, I know that!!

Uh oh! Be good Alex! If this is his parents, good work on letting him explore this hobby. I have been prospecting since I was about 2 years old! I have pictures of me back in the 70's sitting by my dads highbanker just watching and playing in the water and I've done it ever since. It is a great hobby and a lot of the people you will meet are good folks with morals and values (hard to find these days!). I've met a lot more folks who would give you the shirt off their back out in the gold fields than anywhere else. Also most folks are willing to help and give advice, there always the crusty old miner who won't give up his so called "secrets" but most people will gladly help. Honestly in my opinion this is a much better hobby than sitting around playing video games, or being bored with friends and doing something questionable. Just think in his teenage years he could be saving his money for say a highbanker and not spending money on video games, drugs or alcohol. It's good to keep kids busy and this hobby provides exercise, promotes team work as he works with other folks and he just may find some gold! I never got rich as a kid prospecting, but if I had $50 or $100 in gold to sell, man I felt like a millionaire. I realized it was MY hard work that got the gold and made that money and I guess it translated into me growing up realizing hard work does pay off. Most importantly it gets you guys out in nature, spending time together as a family.

Just my 2 cents, but I'd encourage him to keep on it. He could be doing MUCH worse things.

Thanks, Chris

PS if you guys have any questions feel free to email my anytime at my business address!

Any one going to the east fork on sat

sorry alex, i did that so i could find the post later, but i am in phoenix arizona, and just got into propecting, you dont really have to go the far to look for gold, if you do your reaserch on your area and find old abadoned mines, by the old rails, ore would fall over the side of the cars when they piled gold ore to high, if you dig about a foot or 2 down and start find quarts rock, look at the rocks for any gold veins, and if you find enough of it, you can try and make a home made rock crusher, or your dad can help you make one, need a few thing to make it though,

Excuse Alex's messages that make no sense, I had to erase a few things he said because he's young and doesn't realize what kind of a world we live in, I could not find a way to delete posts, it just allows me to edit , so I edited them and they look silly. Sorry about that!

He's young yet, but he'll learn. Perhaps he doesn't realize that he's picked up a few more "grandpa's"
since he joined the board. 8-)

I used the gold cube last night. Not what I expected but it worked.
