Hello all,

Been interested in this hobby for some time. After doing some research I decided to try to get the most bang for my buck. I settled on BH Platium. The reveiws were awesome with a very few unhappy people. It arrived yesterday. I also could not help but fall for the Hobby Lobby Tracker IV deal. Got it for $68 bucks to my door. I figure if somebody is with me they could use this one. Also...my wife might want to try this. She is a real history buff. Anyway I like the idea of leaving one in my truck, just in case. I could afford to lose this one. For coin shooting the reviews are good. If the hobby catches on I will upgrade. Two of my friends have whites.

I have some land Near the Lake of the Ozarks. Several old homesteads reside on the neighbors land. As far as I know nobody has Md at all on these places. Some of these date mid 1800's. Lot's of Indian artifacts in the area. I am 1/2 mile from the a creek that spills into the Lake of the Ozarks, formly the Osage River. Major Indian territory. Also possible Civil War Artifacts. I can not wait. I have full permission to go check these home sites out. There is also a fishing camp with the remains of about 7 log cabins. This was early 1900's. As far as I know it is virgin detecting land. :notworthy::notworthy:

Welcome Brian, We are about 2 hours south of you near Springfield, MO.
Sounds like you will have a great place to learn at. HH
We have property east of Springfield & have found some nice arrowheads there by the creek so keep your eyes open for them also while your MD.

As I read your First Post I started salivating at what you have to detect, Oh Gosh!! I do not usually bet however I would bet if that is any kind of machine you will have enough finds to purchase any brand/model of detector you want in a very short time. Hi, I am new to this also. Could't help but write too. I live at Lebanon and my Mom has a house at Lake of The Ozarks, Osage arm 43 mile marker. I have had my Md for a long time but have not worked to much on it till now. Any one know if caves are good.
